Found a super, cool new blog by Adrienne Truett - it is very interesting, especially the thoughts on interracialness (scroll down - there are two posts) that show a lot of insight into the supposed "exotification" of the Asians in the West, all the while wondering if the opposite is not true, when you look at some Indian movies cited as examples. Check it out!

Thanks for the point to Adrienne. She has a unique perspective and is incredibly articulate. I’ve added her to my list of favorites. My family went through the multi-racial, multi-cultural experience in this country in the early 1800s. La plus ca change, la plus ca meme.

An interesting French article which I read in Indian web-media about French defense ministry lobbying hard on selling weapons to India (Mirage 2000’s, submarines and even missile-related tech. transfer). The Indian “precondition” was that “Stop selling to the Paki’s too”, which infact was accepted by them!! It amazed me that this incident was never reported in the French media (through my contacts here) which was full of USA-bashing. There is an old story about the French supplying weapons both to Iran and Iraq during the 80’s. And we all know about Iraq’s infamous nuclear reactor setup by the French’s CEA (soon bombed by the Israeli’s)

That’s an interesting piece of news, L. I too wonder why it didn’t receive more coverage in mainstream media.
