The consequences of unilateral policing
Enough has been said on the obvious double standards in this war against terrorism. Post-World War II, the Americans have launched several such 'wars'. Like that against Communism, which led to the witchhunts of McCarthy and to the eventual collapse of the Soviet Union. The war to promote human rights, though certain nations which grant minimal political or civil rights to its citizens, like Saudi Arabia, still remain close American allies.

The nice thing about humans, particularly idiotic humans, is they eventually die. When all the aging hippies and commi-lovin socialist junkies are dead, those growing up will only have the memory and experience of successful economic and social systems. namely, capitalism and free-market, with a decent dose of democratic governance.
Not to say that the statist meme is going to be completely weeded out, but like the monarchy meme and the theocratic meme, the socialist utopian meme stands a good chance of dying out eventually.
none of us will get to see it, which makes this century soo much fun to live in.. :tongue3:
