HoustonChronicle.com - Van Gundy says yes to coaching Rockets

Jeff Van Gundy performed his first coaching miracle on Monday.

With just a few words, Van Gundy agreed to become the Houston Rockets' next coach and inspired the team's 65-year-old general manager, Carroll Dawson, into youthful leaps.


I will tell you what his next miracle should be - convincing Steve Francis to actually pass the ball to Yao Ming a little more :P Seriously, I think Houston can field a really formidable team the day Yao comes into his own and demands to be the "big guy" on the court. Once Steve Francis adapts to playing more like a PG than an SG and Eddie Griffin comes alive a little more, watch out California, there won't be any stopping Texan teams! :)

LOL, L - we will see - personally, I don’t want any team but the Mavs to get good in the off-season, but as a basketball fan, it will be fun to see better teams n the West :)
