ASI fabricating evidence in Ayodhya: WAQF Board : HindustanTimes.com
The Sunni Central WAQF Board (SCWB), one of the main plaintiffs in the Ram Janambhoomi -Babri Masjid title suit, and Muslim parties have accused the ASI team engaged in carrying out excavation work at the acquired land in Ayodhya of "fabricating" archaeological evidence there.
LUCKNOW: The Archaeological Survey of India has submitted a progress report to the Lucknow High Court that so far it has found no concrete evidence of any structure below the disputed Babri Masjid site at Ayodhya.

I’m already sick (was long ago) of the politicizing around this issue. It was a mistake on the part of the BJP/VHP to fall into the trap set up by the “secular” and Islami brigade. Here goes:
The historicity-authenticity of the VHP’s claim that a Ram Mandir did exist is/was proved beyond doubt by existing historical, epigraphic and other evidences. Thus, the burden of proof falls (still does) on the Secular brigade instead of the VHP/BJP since they said that the temple didn’t exist while there was plenty of evidence to the contrary. In a hurry, the VHP/BJP accepted the “challenge.”

Why do these “Board-fellas” make a hue and cry even before a court hearing ?? The ASI even if it found any evidence won’t disclose them for a while. Otherwise, these fellas will say that the archaeologists did’nt do a thorough work! God save Ayodhya!

Sandeep, I think BJP did fall into a trap set by the p-secs, because they wanted to prove to the world how sensible they are - I guess we can still wait and see what happens now. It isn’t like they were worshipping in the mosque before it went down - wil they do so now?
L, the bord-fellas are hedging their bets :) It is almost like they expect ASI to find evidence, so they are crying even before anything happens - they are getting their excuses ready.

Speaking of excuses, did you recently read about the clamour raised by the All India Babri Masjid Committe and by the likes of Syed Shahbuddin? They’re now saying that the ASI has tampered with and/or doctored evidence!
Tomorrow they’ll say that they don’t recognize the ASI itself!
Who said that it needs guts to stand by and live according to a conviction? Sadly, the BJP too is following the footsteps of its tyrannical precedessor, the Congress in appeasing the Muslims. They’d get votes and retain power if they went ahead and built the temple.
