What I cannot stand about Hillary Clinton

I don't care about her politics or policies - they make no difference to me. What bothers me is her sticking with her husband, even after he has admitted over and over again publicly, how many times he has cheated onher, with how many different women. How can a woman take that and still claim to be a feminist or strong and independent? What sort of a role model is she setting herself up to be for the other women? I come from the land where men are Pati Parmeshwars (husband Gods) and women, Charandasis (literally, foot slaves). Still, if my husband cheated on me, he wouldn't live to tell teh world if he "had relations with" any other women.

I despise Hillary Clinton's weakness. I hate her trying to make it out into some kind os strong love, shared bond issue. It ain't that, honey! Any self-respecting woman might take a man back after maybe one or atmost two incidents of cheating, but not after something like this. To me, that says Hillary Clinton is either a coward afraid to try and strike it on her own, or an opportunist who will stick with her husband for political expediency.

I guess from her point of view, accepting to live with an “infidel” husband will help her ambitions to return to the White House. Just for the Clinton name … I am sure she won’t prefer to be in “Woman” + “Divorced” category!! Plus, 8 million of those green papers will go a long way for her campaign fund.

I am no supporter of her, but I think she is one of the smartest ones around DC!

But that is what pisses me off about her, L! I agree it is smart and expedient to pretend nothing happened and to rake in big bucks writing about the sordid affairs. As a person though, that makes for a vile entity and I just cannot stand that woman.

Shanti, I am in total agreement. But, I have long stopped being pissed-off at some politician’s behavior (thanks to the Indian politicos!!) Take it easy girl :smartass: …

Ummm… I think you can call that a safe bet, Niraj - I’d rather read Harry Potter :tongue3:

BTW, welcome back - how was the wedding?

Sometimes it takes more strength to stay with someone then to just get mad and walk out.Hillary knew Bill’s faults when she married him. Some of her friends advised her to not marry him. But she loved him and did not want to spend her life without him.I’m sure she would say she is happy with her life and that the good times far out way the bad.For the most part ,life is good. They have a beautiful imensely loved child together. They are both extremely intelligent and never run out of topics to talk about. They obviously love each other and want to stay together. And besides that: Who are you to judge? The only people that should be allowed to make decisions about a their marriage: are the two people in it.Why don’t you mind your own business. They both put their heart and soul into serving the public.President Bill Clinton was one of the greatest Presidents we have ever had.I live in New York State and know first hand of the rewards and benefits due to the sucessful work of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.I have traveled to other countries and have heard what they think of President Bush and our present administration. But they tell me they love the Clintons.Hillary is the most experienced candidate for the job.We need her to repair our relationships with the rest of the world. Please put aside comparing your personal relationships to hers. Look at the bigger picture.I urge you to support and vote for Hillary.
Together we can repair the world !
