Unbeatable Ravi!

I’ll bite. - No, he is not talking dentists or dental products - he is talking WMD and about why the war against Iraq was justified even if the WMD were not found and a lot more - all logically and neatly presented. Go give it a look!

Yes, George Bush crushes one cruel dictator and befriends another.

All hail Bush!

Ummm, every time you see two people shaking hands, it doesn’t mean they are friends. It is also plain politeness most of the time.

Oh, and you and your friends would probably be the first ones marching against it, if Bush did declare war agaisnt the Uzbek president or attmpted to overthrow him. Hello, hypocrisy!

Did you read that link? $500 million in aid is a little more than “politeness”. Oh, didn’t he also give Musharraf $3 billion dollars? Pakistan has been helping terrorists for decades.

My “friends”? You’re already making big assumptions about supposed groups I’m in and even how I would react. Based on… what? Calling me a hypocrite for ideas YOU THINK I might have? What kind of nutty thinking is this?

>if Bush did declare war agaisnt the Uzbek
>president or attmpted to overthrow him

But Bush HASN’T done anything like that has he? Evidently some cruel rulers should be thrown out but others should be given millions in aid. Ha!

US also gives $2 billion in aid to Egypt and also gives millions of dollars in aid to african countries. None of those countries are really free and each of their “rulers” do as much, if not worse than the Uzbek President. So what? How come the UN doesn’t condemn it? Why is the US supposed to be the moral arbiter of the world?

If you read Ravi’s link that I provided, you will see that we are not calling the US heroic for warring against Iraq, but we are happy that someone waged a war against the tyrant Saddam, so the Iraqi people can be free now. Ha!(?) You are making assumptions too - extremely wrong ones.

Err we? Shouldnt that be Ra we…I mean Ravi? What he has written is a lot different in terms of content and handling compared to what you write on your blog. Here it does seem to be more of “Oh America is doing such an effing favour on the soddy Iraqis…sniff sniff”.

By the way, Swami’s article on the Iraq war is still my favourite…….but then usually Swami’s article on anything is my favourite. :beam:

No, Gaurav - read up on all the posts I have in the Iraq category - read the comments. I am not going to demonize America for waging this war, but I never said I supported the war for America’s reasons either. I have consistently maintained that what tilted my support was the articles I have read by various ex-pat Iraqis begging for someone to liberate them.

If they, the people who still have family in Iraq and still love the country want to be liberated, why should I object?
