MSNBC's hypocrisy

Yep, you heard me right - MSNBC is an absolute hypocrite to be publishing this opinion piece, CBS chooses profits over “The Reagans”. Why? because if you can go back a few months, their TV channel did the same thing - they hired utra-ultra-right-win-hack Michael Savage to host his show on their network, hoping that his crazed rantings would drive up their abysmal ratings. Savage screwed up on air when he made his usual bigoted statements on air to a gay (or black) caller (I forget which), which caused a huge backlash and MSNBC pulled the show off-air. Let us see, in that situation MSNBC could have stuck up for Savage’s first amendment right to be as hatefully bigoted as he wants and let him continue, but they looked at the bottomline and let him go. Physician, heal thyself?

Heh. You’ve got a pretty good point there.

It was gay-bashing they fired him for, by the way.

Thanks, Dean - I find it really galling for all these people to applaud the pulling of Dr. Laura off the air since they didn’t agree with her ideologies, but are all up in arms over this incident.

Actually, I like Savage’s independent approach to politics… broadly criticizing both R’s and D’s, he doesn’t tow any party lines. Moreover, for his MSNBC remarks, he issued an apology both on-air and on his website.

But you’re right about MSNBC. It’s blatant hypocrisy for them to criticize CBS for their decision on “The Reagans.”

with MSNBC, it was a case of pot calling the kettle black, Gokul :)

Enjoying the Cowboy games?

Yeah, I’m once again enjoying the ‘Boyz. They’re slowly replenishing the 8-year void they’ve left in my heart :beam:

Now if only they could produce more offense…

Of course, but I am willing to let the bad offense slide as long as they manage to produce those wins ;)

I don’t think Bill Parcells is human, though
