Whoa!

That ended up being some game now! What a thrilling end to an awesome second half - of course, and to imagine that this is the first time I watched a full football game in my entire life ;) Seriously, I could never really get into football before, but this game just did it for me in terms of building tension and somme superb moments. I feel terrible for the Carolina Panthers - they fought very hard and did not deserve to lose. The Patriots just deserved to win more.

As for the half-time show, my husband and I had a combined jaw-drop-to-floor moment when we saw Janet Jackson’s breast hanging out in full view - my husband kept arguing with me it must have been a plastic something and could not have been her breast, since that couldn’t be on regular TV, now could it? The poor man - he was in shock for a long time :)

The best way to express how much I loved tonight’s game? I have never missed an episode of “Survivor” in all 8 seasons so far, ever since I started watching the show sometime in the middle of the first season - tonight, I didn’t much care about the All-star season’s premier, I was that absorbed in the thrill of the football game.

That’s funny. Aren’t we all asking ourselves the same thing? I think it was all planned, I don’t know if you remember but while her breast was hanging you could see a silvery thing in her nipple, so I guess that makes it OK for TV. If I am not mistaken Lil’ Kim did that for the MTV Awards and cause the same commotion.

Seyd, I think MTV as such has more relaxed standards as it is on cable than CBS, which isn’t. As for it being pre-planned, I do agree with you, since I have heard in some ESPN stories that MTV promised some shocking moments from Janet in their Super Bowl ads on Saturday. This and the streaker on the field - what a show! :)

Shanti, the game was beautiful. Very happy in New England today!

I’m going to try and go to the parade tommorrow - we’ll see if I can actually make it!

I forgot you were living in that area, MD - Congratulations on your team’s excellent win! I thought it was very cinamatic the way Adam Viniateri made that 41-yd kick after missing twice at a much shorter distance earlier :) I was all set for an OT game.

Have fun at the parade!

It sure was one helluva game…my first complete football game too…I rooted for the Panthers but unfortunately not this year..

Don’t care much for the sport, but this may be the answer to the question - “How to draw crowds back to the Ranji Trophy?”. Invite Janet jackson to perform in the lunchtime. Have contests with the winner getting to dance with Janet and give her ….er… assistance :beam:

Talk about ‘milking’ the occasion, what?

Patrix, I didn’t have any favorites initially, but by the end, I was tooting for poor Jake Delhomme - too bad!

Gaurav, some pun that ;) Sounds like a good marketing idea, though :)

Neil, I believe it was planned too, per MTV’s commercials that promised something controversial at the show.
