Ok, here is the new schedule for the Blog Mela - we are going back to the weekly format, but the voting and the prize will be for the best entry of the month. Bloggers, let me know if you want to host - pick your slots - remember, it is a chance for a free “Instalanche”!
October:
7th October - hosted by Ravages (Ravages, you need to put up an announcement on your blog calling for nominations of blog posts made within the period between the last Mela the 6th of October - collate them like Ravi did and make the Mela post on the 7th).
14th October - hosted by MadMan
21st October - hosted by Aadisht
28th October - hosted by Yazad
November:
4th November: hosted by Ashish Hanwadikar
11th November: hosted by Sameer
18th November: hosted by Patrix
25th November: hosted by Anil
December:
3rd December: hosted by MD
10th December: hosted by Debashish
17th December: Yazad
(Our new motto - We volunteer you for things we are too lazy to do! ;))

Is :mad:Man gonna host on my blog or his?
Posted by: Yazad at October 1, 2004 1:35 AM
Why isn’t Madman volunteering Shiokfood blog?
Posted by: Ravikiran Rao at October 1, 2004 1:38 AM
Hey, you guys figure it out - I ain’t messing with the cartel :tongue3:
Posted by: Shanti at October 1, 2004 8:48 AM
Or I have a better idea. We can get Shiok to set up a food stall at the Mela
Posted by: Ravikiran Rao at October 1, 2004 11:33 AM
Excellent idea. MadMan .. its a good opportunity to popularise ur place .. offer nice discounts .. your noodles will sell like hot cakes! (or whatever). :tongue3:

Can I swap with MadMan? 28th October is very close to my midterms.
Posted by: Aadisht at October 1, 2004 12:14 PM
Not fair - why should we good folks in the US miss out on MadMan’s madalicious(?) cooking?
Aadisht, you can definitely swap if MadMan agrees.
Posted by: Shanti at October 1, 2004 12:39 PM
Aadisht, I suggest you swap with Ravages instead. Things get busier for me later in the month. Holiday season usually means more business for the restaurant.
And you will be happy to know that Shiok will cater for the mela. At every mela, we will be handing out virtual food to all visitors. They will be nice, tasty bytes. :)
Posted by: MadMan at October 2, 2004 12:45 AM
Done. Announced. What more do I need to do?
Posted by: Ravages at October 3, 2004 2:38 AM
Aadisht requested me to swap the dates with him. Could we have the following?
21st October - hosted by Aadisht
28th October - hosted by Yazad
Posted by: Yazad at October 4, 2004 6:52 AM

Shanti Aunty, I’ve posted the October 21 Mela. Would appreciate publicity. Pip pip.
Posted by: Aadisht at October 22, 2004 12:46 PM
I see your host cupboard looks a bit bare for the second half of December. Allow me to toss a bone — I’d be glad to host.
Posted by: Yazad at November 18, 2004 9:48 AM
I think the competition for “most popular mela post” is off as I see nothing regarding it for October and we’re in the second half of November.
Good — I never much cared for it. For those who don’t know why .
Posted by: Yazad at November 18, 2004 9:52 AM
17th December, Yaz? The number of Mela posts kinda got too many for me to get a proper poll in place. I guess you and me are glad the poll died a quiet death :)
Posted by: Shanti at November 18, 2004 9:54 AM
Sounds good. And yes, we shall bury the poll.
How’re you doing? And the two men in your life?
Posted by: Yazad at November 18, 2004 12:48 PM
I am doing great! It is just that 11-hour workdays combined with a squealing little infant who (rightfully) demands I spend every waking moment at home with him are not too conducive for blogging. The husband is doing OK…I think :)
Posted by: Shanti at November 18, 2004 1:13 PM
Shanti, I can host the first one of 2005. I would have loved to fill the gap in Dec, but will be on vacation then.
