Happy 2nd Blogiversary!!! :beam:
May you continue Dancing with Dogs for a long long time! … :tongue3:
Posted by: Sameer at September 23, 2004 3:03 PM
I can’t believe that you started blogging after I did… Congrats!
And remember your promise to rig the blog mela in my favour. Just because none of my entries are participating shouldn’t mean that I can’t win.
Posted by: Ravikiran at September 24, 2004 12:28 AM
Congrats.. keep dancing!
Posted by: Chaklra at September 24, 2004 4:57 AM
Congrats. But I miss the DwD of old, but with work, a baby, and a pack of dogs, I guess blogging does seem unimportant.
Posted by: Niraj at September 24, 2004 12:56 PM
Ravi, I have been proclaimed the winner already. (This is like elections in Pakistan). Now I have to compose the winning entry.
Congrats Shanti on blogging for two years.

I’ve been blogging sporadically since October 2000. Fuck!
Posted by: MadMan at September 25, 2004 2:53 AM
Congrats Shanti!

Where is the mela Shanti? Is this the way to keep commitments? Have you ever considered what example your failure to keep promises will set to young Neel?
Posted by: Ravikiran at September 27, 2004 1:54 AM
I apologize :tongue3: I would have done it except for that the person who I hoped could help was out of town. You could host it - I will email you the nominations and still pay for the prize - how about that, Ravi uncle?
Solomon, thanks :)
Posted by: Shanti at September 27, 2004 8:44 AM
I am indeed willing to host the mela. Do send the nominations to my gmail account, which you should be having in your contacts.
Also send me the code for hosting the voting.
You can tell Neel that it was a long weekend in India and you fulfilled the letter of your promise by your smart move. I will back you up.

Thanks, Ravi - will do :)
Posted by: Shanti at September 27, 2004 1:24 PM
I vote we revert to the earlier weekly format for the mela. It was good. Gave everyone weekly reading material.
Posted by: MadMan at September 28, 2004 3:35 AM
Thanks Ravi indeed. I am the culprit who said she would help Shanti and then got slammed at work. Sorry everyone.
Posted by: MD at September 28, 2004 8:44 AM
MadMan, we can definitely do that and still pick out the best entry for the month - I need volunteers to put together the weekly melas, though.

Aunty, Congrats, and great going with the blog.
On the weekly mela, maybe I can do it? Tell me what I need to do!
Posted by: Ravages at September 28, 2004 9:44 AM
Sure, Ravages - if you, MadMan and two more people respond so I have atleast teh next four weeks covered, we can go back to the weekly Mela. All the volunteers need to do is to collect the week’s entries in a post and put it up on the blog :)
Posted by: Shanti at September 28, 2004 9:46 AM
When exactly will be the mela be unveiled.
We have been hearing about the Mela for weeks now:mad:
Posted by: Al Mujahid at September 28, 2004 10:10 AM
Mujahid, it is up at Ravi uncle’s place - look at my latest post :)
Posted by: Shanti at September 28, 2004 10:18 AM
My bad ;)
Posted by: Al Mujahid at September 28, 2004 12:58 PM
I volunteer, and I also volunteer Ravages.
Posted by: MadMan at September 28, 2004 3:29 PM
Hell, while I’m at it, I also volunteer Yazad.
Posted by: MadMan at September 28, 2004 3:30 PM
In case the MadMan didn’t notice it, I had already volunteered.
Posted by: Ravages at September 28, 2004 11:30 PM
Ravages, it doesn’t matter - you are not volunteered until MadMan volunteers you :tongue3:
Posted by: Shanti at September 29, 2004 8:40 AM
Congrats for the blogiversary.
As far I know, it is you who started the blogmela. When is the mela’s anniversary?
Posted by: Rezwan at September 30, 2004 2:08 AM
I volunteer myself. Now I’m waiting for MadMan to volunteer me.
Posted by: Aadisht at September 30, 2004 2:22 AM
And I thought i was a libertarian sane adult (ok, lets leave out the sane part) who could take his own decisions.
Posted by: Ravages at September 30, 2004 9:49 AM
Rezwan, the very first Blog Mela happened on Jan 30, 2003, so we will be celebrating the second anniversary of the Mela soon :)
Aadisht, thanks for volunteering even without MadMan around ;)
Posted by: Shanti at September 30, 2004 12:24 PM
Saunty, to maintain balance, you’ll have to find some communist Indian bloggers to host the Mela, or people might think that you are biased in favour of the libertarians.
Posted by: Ravikiran at September 30, 2004 1:05 PM
Me, biased? Just ask Mujahid - he knows I am not :tongue3: but you know what? It might be actually fun if we could actually find some communist bloggers. Anyone around?
