Why do all the cars with Kerry/Edwards stickers stay in front of me resolutely during rush hour and refuse to go even a mile over 30 mph? On the other hand, why are all the Bush/Cheney-stckered cars/SUVs always in such a rush that they are trying to run me off the road even when I am going 10 miles over the speed limit?

Doesn’t matter whether you’re going 10 miles over or 30 miles over the speed limit, if a vehicle is on your tail, then GET OFF the left lane. You’re slowing some down.
Speaking of stereotypes, I noticed you wrote cars with Kerry/Edwards and cars/SUVs with Bush/Cheney. Just maybe the political philosophies of the party faithful are manifested in the driving habits wherein the dems are driving the hybrids which can’t go much faster whereas the republicans are cruising around in their SUVs.
Just kidding !!!

Martin, good one about the Dems driving hybrids vs. the Repubs driving SUVs :)

Patrix - both my cars are sticker-free. I might buy a doggie one if I ever feel like it ;)
idiots and maniacs - you have no idea how many times I used the words in the exact same manner

I have a Kerry-Edward sticker on my car. Yesterday I got the middle finger from this guy in a pick up. Wondering if it was because of the Kerry-Edward endorsement on my car or because I looked Ay-rub to him ( which I am not). I wonder how many people get confused for Arabs. I would imagine most of the techies from Southern States of India probably do not get confused for Arab though.

Since we are talking stereotypes here, pickup stands for Republican depending on where you live - that was why you got the finger ;)
I was usually confused for Hispanic out here more than Arab…now people know that all techies are Indian - even the Pakistani ones :tongue3:

Many people don’t want to put bumper stickers directly on their car — especially these days when many bumpers are actually plastic, scraping off the bumper sticker basically means ruining the paint.
However, there are many styles of bumper sticker holders that allow you to put a bumper sticker on your car without ruining the paint. I have one, and it’s fun to have a bunch of stickers and change them according to my mood:
Sticks to windows with static cling:http://www.evolvefish.com/fish/product1047.html
Suction cup and magnetic bumper sticker holders:

The Bumper Banner puts a little removable plastic case the right size for a bumper sticker that you can velcro onto your bumper and remove easily. http://www.thebumperbanner.com/about.php

Thanks for the pointers, Lisa - I am going to try that. I would love to have some kind of a doggie or a baby bumper sticker on my car :)
