Seriously, could some of you be any more self-absorbed? I was listening to radio on my way to work this morning and this undecided voter called in. For one, I cannot understand how someone can be undecided today when it is time to vote after being harangued to death by both parties and more. Anyways, the host asks this guy why he is still undecided - he says it is because he called both campaigns and left a message and no one bothered to personally call him back! Come again? His next issue was the makeup of the candidates’ cabinets - he either wanted to be on it or have someone on there who agrees with him on all issues. Gimme a frgging break! There are bigger issues in the election than your personal happiness and you are a moron if you don’t realize that!
Vote today, people! Don’t sit on your pampered asses and then bitch and moan about someone screwing up your country if you cannot be bothered to get up and do what it takes.

You’re absolutely right about going out to vote. I hate people who aren’t bothered to vote and yet have the nerve to bitch about the person who comes into power.
Every person should regard his/her uncast vote as a vote for their most unfavourable candidate!
And that undecided voter on radio seems to be a complete idiot!! :beam:

I think the campaign has seriously made the idea of voting over rated.
Seriously, think twice and let me know why I should vote. I do not see a single reason.

Sameer, heh!
Nilu, it is OK if you don’t want to vote - but then don’t sit and complain later on if a guy you don’t like wins. This is the one chance where someone can make a difference however small.
It is easy to be underwhelmed by the candidates and not care about whoever wins - that’s what you got to put up with then since that was how people voted in the primaries - atleast the Democratic primaries that really mattered. I seriously think if it were Howard Dean or Lieberman against Bush, the Democrats would have a solid chance. Kerry just doesn’t do it for me either.

you don’t get it. if i vote and my candidate or issue does not pass…can i still bitch about it?
you make it seem like bitching only takes place among people who don’t vote.

Of course, you can bitch if you tried to get your candidate to win but it didn’t happen - the difference is that you tried to make a difference. If you are too lazy to even get yourself to a polling booth, you shouldn’t bitch.
