Thanks for the mention Madhoo. Many new Indian cooking blogs coming up every day. There is a fairly comprehensive list on my site which I now have to update! One of the first and a really popular one is Nupur’s http://www.onehotstove.blogspot.com

I have to disagree with Deccanheffalump here. Nupur may be the first, but the most popular one is Indira of Mahanandi. Unpretentious, pure and true to her cause, her recipes are pure gold and authentic.

Leonardo Olive Oil has - thank God! - brought olive pomace oil into India. Now one can cook Indian food in olive oil, which everyone knows is the best for health. I am so thrilled with this. Visit www.leonardoolives.com . You can just order online and they deliver all their olive oil products home for free.

Yes, I’ve used Leonardo too. Their quality is excellent. And it’s high time someone educated Indians about olive oil. It isn’t just for Italian food. Pomace oil is great for Indian food too. And it doesn’t work out too expensive - I use it in 1/3 the quantity and it’s reusable 3 times. For sophisticated cooks, oilve oil is the answer.
