Trump is an asshole! He sucks to have out Randall on a spot like that since his lovable little Becky didn’t win the Apprenticeship. Man, I completely fail to see one merit in that woman except her irrational love for Toral. Since Trump couldn’t hire her without pissing off an entire contingent of TV audience who can clearly see Randall is heand and shoulders above Rebecca, he had to hire Randall and try to force him into hiring Rebecca too. What a horrible move! I am glad Randall stood up for himself and asked Trump to shove his Rebecca love where the sun don’t shine!
Update: Here is how I see it. Trump has been so in love with Rebecca that through the episode he was extremely careful to praise Randall and Rebecca - maybe, Rebecca more than Randall to the point that he was overtly pushing for Randall to submit and agree to have a co-winner. If I were Randall, the very fact that some one is trying force me to make a decision a certain way would be enough to piss me off to the point I will do the exact opposite, consequences be damned!

Listed below are links to weblogs that reference Apprentice Finale:
Think about the question, he asked if he were Trump would he have hired her to run his business. There was obvious pause in his response because the true answer to the question is NO he wouldn’t. I wouldn’t and if it was anyone’s multibillion dollar company you wouldn’t either.
Rebecca didn’t really shine until the absolute last task, and she has a 1 and 2 record as a project manager. Think about this question, would you hire a 23 year old, with a losing record as a Project Manager, no experience running a business, to run YOUR billion dollar project? Randal gave the truthful answer in this situation, unless you wanted the man to lie, and in that case the question shouldn’t have been proposed to him.
Also when Rebecca was on a team full of women, she was shut out from giving any type of input, a true leader should be able to be involved and respected whether they are the leader or not.

If you are enterprising, you could add a racist tinge to it. As I read somewhere all African-American competitors ended up on the losing side in Apprentice. First it was Kwame Jackson, the 2nd season featured a totally deranged woman (I forgot her name — stacey or some such), the 3rd season was another guy who was like a mini-Randall with a Law and Business management degree from Ivy league universities. I forgot his name too but I think he was filtered out in the interview stage only becoz the honchos felt he was all books and no direction.
One can logically ask why Trump did not want to ask Bill Rancic if he would’ve hired Kwame Jackson too. As I recall Kwame was an MBA from Harvard — it don’t get better than that?

Finally a sensible commentary! I totally agree. By the second commercial I knew I was being set up. It was definitely well (or maybe not so well) orchestrated to plant seeds in your mind that the two contestants were equally qualified. I resented the attempt of manipulation on the part of the Trump camp. Randall clearly out shined Rebecca.
